This chocolate experience highlights four different varieties of nuts from the South American rainforest: Cacay, Macambo, Sacha Inchi, and Shuar Peanuts. Each of these nuts represents ancestral foodways in this part of the world, and all of them are considered superfoods – rich with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and other nutrients. They are also native to some of the most biodiverse and threatened ecosystems on the planet. One of these nuts – the Macambo seed – comes from a Theobroma, a tree species in the cacao family.
